Despite some infighting, Nancy Pelosi was nominated to be Speaker of the House for another term. Politico writes:

Pelosi is running unopposed and only needed a simple majority of the Democratic Caucus during the secret ballot vote. But she’ll still have to clinch 218 votes on the House floor in January to officially become speaker — and she has a much narrower majority to work with this time around after Democrats lost more than half a dozen seats on Election Day.

The New York Times writes:

Convening virtually because of the worsening coronavirus pandemic, Democrats also re-elected Ms. Pelosi’s top deputies, Representative Steny H. Hoyer of Maryland as majority leader and Representative James Clyburn of South Carolina as Democratic Whip. The caucus also re-affirmed Representative Hakeem Jeffries of New York, a potential successor to Ms. Pelosi, as their chairman and was poised to decide which other members to include in an emerging younger generation of leaders in waiting.
