Donald Trump was mocking the press after the indictment against the Russians were announced on Friday:

“Funny how the Fake News Media doesn’t want to say that the Russian group was formed in 2014, long before my run for President. Maybe they knew I was going to run even though I didn’t know!”

But perhaps he did know.  Intelligence officials point out he patented “Make America Great Again” in 2012.  But, more substantially, back in 2014, a NATO ally received intelligence that Russia would back Trump for the White House.  There are several wonderful bits of information like that in this piece by John Schindler, who worked with the National Security Agency and now writes for the Observer:
