NYT Endorses Amy Klobuchar & Elizabeth Warren For President

Welcome

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - DECEMBER 19: Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) (R) and Sen. In advance of the Iowa caucuses, the endorsements are rolling in. One of the most coveted has long been from the New York Times. This year the newspaper remarks, “In a break with convention, the editorial board has chosen to endorse two separate Democratic candidates for president.”

If there were ever a time to be open to new ideas, it is now. If there were ever a time to seek stability, now is it.

That’s why we’re endorsing the most effective advocates for each approach. They are Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar.

On Klobuchar, the NYT writes:

Klobuchar has emerged as a standard-bearer for the Democratic center. Her vision goes beyond the incremental. Given the polarization in Washington and beyond, the best chance to enact many progressive plans could be under a Klobuchar administration.

And for Warren, the newspaper opines that “Warren has emerged as a standard-bearer for the Democratic left.”

“She is also committed to reforming the fundamental structures of government and the economy.”

“Her campaign’s plans, in general, demonstrate a serious approach to policymaking that some of the other candidates lack.”
