On The Day Before He Is Sworn In, Mark Kelly Visits John McCain’s Grave

Mark Kelly is expected to be officially sworn in tomorrow. The former astronaut beat incumbent Martha McSally who was appointed to the Arizona Senate seat after the death of John McCain. Today Kelly and his family visited McCain’s graveside. The Arizona Republic reports:

He was accompanied by his wife, former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., and his daughter Claire. The family laid a wreath at McCain’s grave at the U.S. Naval Academy Cemetery in Maryland and paid their respects to McCain, who died in 2018 after a battle with brain cancer.
