While many of us are exhausted after four years of Donald Trump as president, it seems that isn’t the case for the majority of Republicans. Politico writes that the current president “is the favored Republican candidate for a 2024 run.” That according to a new poll from POLITICO/Morning Consult. Morning Consult writes:

Polling Shows Why Trump Will Retain His Bully Pulpit With the GOP Base Even After He Leaves Office. GOP voters see the president — not his allies in Congress — as their champion, and most would back him in 2024.

As Politico points out: “With Trump losing the 2020 presidential election, he is still constitutionally eligible to run for a second term in 2024 or later, at which point he would be at least in his late 70s.”
