The moderators for the presidential and vice-presidential debates won’t make the Trump campaign happy.
The Commission on Presidential Debates has selected:
- Chris Wallace of Fox News (Sept. 29th Cleveland)
- Steve Scully of C-SPAN (Oct. 15 Miami)
- Kristen Welker (Oct 22 Nashville)
- Susan Page of USA Today (VP Debate Oct. 7 Salt Lake City)
The New York Times reports: “The choices of moderators are likely to anger the Trump campaign, which has made a list of demands and named moderators it considers acceptable.” Most on the list were friendly and fawning hosts of Fox News or others who are seen as reliably pro-Trump.
