Donald Trump’s strategy seems to be blame Joe Biden for everything. Just last night he said, “No one will be safe in Biden’s America.” Earlier in the week, Donald Trump Jr. declared, “You’re not allowed to go to church, but mass chaos in the streets gets a pass. It’s almost like this election is shaping up to be church, work and school versus rioting, looting and vandalism.”

In an editorial, the website MassLive wrote:

If only Donald Trump were president, there wouldn’t be all this civil unrest and these riots and violent protests in cities in the Midwest and …

Oops, wait a minute. Donald Trump is president.

Though you wouldn’t know that from watching the Republican National Convention, which had a clearly bizarre message from its Monday beginnings. Put plainly, the theme of the convention: The nation is a complete mess, so you’ve got to give Trump four more years in office.

And that brings us to this quote from Joe Biden, which frankly could (and should be) his motto for the next two months.

Trump and his supporters should expect that their Biden is to blame theme is going to backfire. Indeed, it looks like some people defending the president are already having issues defending this train of thought.
