Rep. Liz Cheney has made it clear this week that her mission is to make sure Donald Trump is not elected president in 2024. She remarked, “He’s unfit. He never again can be anywhere close to the Oval Office..” All this begs the question of why she voted for him in 2020. ABC’s Jon Karl posed this question to the Wyoming Representative in an interview that aired Sunday morning. Here’s her response:

“I was never going to support Joe Biden and I do regret the vote. I think it was a vote based on policy, based on sort of substance and what I know in terms of the kind of policies he put forward that were good for the country, but I think it is fair to say I regret the vote.”

Cheney is reportedly considering her own run for president in 2024.
