In a front-page editorial, The New York Post tells Donald Trump: “Give it up, Mr. President — for your sake and the nation’s.” This is significant because just two months ago the newspaper endorsed Trump saying “make America great again, again.” The newspaper, owned by Rupert Murdoch has consistently been friendly to the current president. But now the Post Editorial Board writes, “Mr. President, it’s time to end this dark charade.”

“You had every right to investigate the election. But let’s be clear: Those efforts have found nothing… We understand, Mr. President, that you’re angry that you lost. But to continue down this road is ruinous.”

The newspaper went on to criticize some of the people that Trump is reportedly taking advice from, “Sidney Powell is a crazy person. Michael Flynn suggesting martial law is tantamount to treason. It is shameful.”

The post ends with this warning:

If you insist on spending your final days in office threatening to burn it all down, that will be how you are remembered. Not as a revolutionary, but as the anarchist holding the match.
