In the movie “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” a mother buys space on three billboards after her daughter is murdered. She thinks the billboards will draw attention to the crime and that’s exactly what they do. Now the activist group Avaaz is taking a page from the film to get Marco Rubio’s attention. The group has trucked in three billboards outside the Senator’s office in Doral, Florida to protest Rubio’s pro-gun stance.

Just yesterday Rubio said he thought tougher gun laws wouldn’t have prevented the massacre in Parkland. Rubio, who has received $3.3 million from the NRA, says his words are being misinterpreted.

After that tweet, Rubio put out three other tweets complaining about the way his own words were quoted.

Rubio received an A+ rating from the NRA for his voting record on guns legislation and is also one of the top recipients of NRA money.
