Nice work if you can get it.  Donald Trump’s former bodyguard was booted from the West Wing months ago but he’s still collecting a big paycheck.  According to records of the Republican National Committee, Keith Schiller is making $15,000 a month consulting the GOP on security plans for the 2020 convention.  A location for the convention has yet to be chosen.

Schiller was Trump’s bodyguard and confidante for nearly 20 years.  Schiller’s firm has been paid $75,000 since October and according to CNBC, his fee is coming out of the RNC Convention Fund where deep-pocketed contributors can donate $101,000 a year.  From CNBC:

“These sorts of party accounts are notorious for being operated as slush funds – lightly regulated and ripe for abuse,” said Stephen Spaulding, former special counsel at the Federal Election Commission and now chief of strategy at the nonpartisan advocacy group Common Cause.”
