Trump Brags About Opening Apple Plant In Texas That’s Been Producing Computers Since 2013

Welcome

There are Trump’s everyday fabrications and then there are the whoppers. Wednesday, on a trip to Texas, Trump told one of the latter.

He toured a plant that makes Apple computers in Austin. It was a pretty routine event until the end. The New York Times reports:

Mr. Trump walked in front of the news cameras and took credit for the plant, suggesting it had opened that day. “For me, this is a very special day,” he said. Mr. Cook stood next to him, stone-faced.

The plant has been making Apple computers since 2013.

Apple CEO Tim Cook, standing next to the president, did not correct him.
