Trump Reverses Himself, Orders Flags At Half Staff For Newspaper Shooting Victims

Welcome

WASHINGTON, DC - JULY 03: An American flag flies at half-staff on top of the White House July 3, 2018 in Washington, DC. After reports about President Donald Trump's rejection for a flag lowering request from Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley on Monday, the White House ordered U.S. flags to lower to half-staff in remembrance of the mass shooting at The Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland. Yesterday it was a slap in the face.  Donald Trump was asked if he would order the flags lowered to half staff in remembrance of the shooting victims at the Maryland newspaper, The Capital Gazette.  He said no.

The request originally came from the mayor of Annapolis to show respect for the journalists murdered.  But then, today a sudden change of heart, or he saw the outrage on television, but Trump ordered flags lowered.
