U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major Killed In Afghanistan

We sometimes forget, and are quickly reminded with tragedies like this, that American soldiers are still fighting and dying in Afghanistan.  On Monday, Command Sergeant Major Timothy Bolyard was killed in what’s being called an ‘insider attack’ in eastern Afghanistan.  Another soldier was wounded.  Apparently, it was an Afghan policeman who opened fire on Bolyard.

Bolyard was a highly decorated soldier who was on his 13th overseas deployment, eight of which were combat deployments.

He was awarded the Bronze Star on six different occasions.
