CNN’s Anderson Cooper wasn’t going to let former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich come on his show and act like a victim. During an exclusive interview, Cooper challenged him on why he was creating “a whole new alternate universe of facts” about his crime and prosecution. Blagojevich went so far as to compare himself to anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandala.

“I am a political prisoner…if you were to ask Nelson Mandela whether he thought the process was fair back in the early ’60’s in South Africa, he would say what I’m saying today.”

This absurd declaration comes just days after Donald Trump commuted Blagojevich’s sentence. He was 8 years into a 14 year sentence for wire fraud, attempted extortion, and conspiracy to solicit bribes (all done in an attempt to basically sell Barack Obama’s Senate seat).

The interview concluded with Cooper literally calling “bullshit” on the 63-year-old. Watch above.
