Andrew Cuomo Is Most Likely On The Road To Impeachment

It doesn’t seem like Andrew Cuomo has many people left in his corner. When President Joe Biden said he thought the New York Governor should resign, the writing was on the wall. Today, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki reiterated the president’s position.

While Cuomo is likely still reeling from all of the information in the report from the New York Attorney General’s office, it appears he won’t willingly step aside.

Today New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is among those saying Cuomo can’t stay in power.

Since it’s unlikely Cuomo will resign, he most likely will be forced out. Politico reports that “the Democratic majority in the New York Assembly is preparing to impeach.” The story cites this quote from Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal (D-Manhattan) “A lot of people are ready. The process is going to wind down and then, I believe, you’ll see the Assembly voting on articles of impeachment.”

Cuomo has also lost the support of the majority of his constituents.
