We always pay attention to what Axios’ Mike Allen has to say. He’s been talking with Virginia Democratic Senator Mark Warner on the Russia investigation. Warner told Allen it is “the most important thing I will ever work on.”
Earlier this week, Warner spoke on the Senate floor where he issued a warning saying that pardons of those who’ve already pleaded guilty or the firing of the special counsel would cross “a red line.” Warner said–via CNN–that “the firing of Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller would be a “gross abuse of power” and called for Congress to respond with “significant consequences” if President Donald Trump took that step.”
