Barack Obama took to the streets of Philadelphia today to campaign for his former Vice President and get people in the key swing state “fired up.”

After visiting with residents in North Philadelphia, the former president held a drive-in rally where he said:

“Philadelphia, we’ve got 13 days. 13 days until the most important election of our lifetime…what we do these next 13 days will matter for decades to come.”

This was Obama’s most extensive takedown to date of Donald Trump.

He touched on several issues with the current president saying, “Our democracy’s not going to work if the people who are supposed to be our leaders lie every day and just make things up. And we’ve just become numb to it.”

He also threw some major shade at the 45th president for the economy and coronavirus:

“I get that this president wants full credit for the economy he inherited and zero blame for the pandemic that he ignored.”

And Obama even brought up something that was in the news just over the last 24 hours, the New York Times revelations about Trump’s business dealings in China:

“Can you imagine if I’d have had a secret Chinese bank account when I was running for reelection?”

Another thing that will especially get under the president’s skin, Obama’s jab about TV ratings:

“By the way, his TV ratings are down. So you know that upsets him. But the thing is, this is not a reality show. This is reality. And the rest of us have had to live with the consequences of him proving himself incapable of taking the job seriously.”

The biggest message from the former president, vote:

“We’ve got to turn out like never before. We cannot leave any doubt in this election… A whole bunch of people stayed at home and got lazy and complacent. Not this time. Not in this election.”
