With less than two days to go until the inauguration, Dan has some thoughts on how we move forward as a country:
“We can’t erase the last four years, people have made their choices. There has been no shortage of those who aided and abetted President Trump and the dysfunction of Trump has deep roots in cynicism, racism, conspiracy theories, and lies. But the past need not dictate the future… In electing Joe Biden in the popular vote and the electoral college Americans made a statement, but we are deeply divided.”
Dan points out that a lot of what happens next will fall on Republican shoulders:
“The Republicans have a hairy responsibility right now, especially in the Senate. They have a responsibility to step up not only in the impeachment proceedings but in working with President Biden.”
