There are numerous ads being released that show Donald Trump talking about coronavirus. Most of the ads illustrate how the president’s position has changed dramatically over the last few weeks. And while they all use Trump’s own unaltered words, his campaign is trying to stop at least one of them from airing. One of the ads entitled, “Exponential Threat,” is from the Super PAC, Priorities USA. The group is running the ad in four battleground states (MI, WI, FL & PA) saying it’s holding “Trump accountable for the lies and mismanagement that have made this crisis worse for all of us.”

Guy Cecil, chairman of Priorities USA says, “Donald Trump issued a cease and desist letter to try to stop this ad from airing because he doesn’t want Americans to know the truth.”

Josh Schwerin, Senior Strategist, and Communications Director adds:
“The Trump campaign is trying to bully TV stations into taking our ad down. They are not going to be successful because it is literally Trump in his own words. Let’s make sure as many people as possible see this ad.”

Joe Biden’s team also released a powerful ad late Wednesday stringing together a timeline with statements from Trump.

And it isn’t just Democrats releasing similar ads. The Republican group, The Lincoln Project a group of Conservatives who want to see Trump defeated in November may have started this ad trend with this video, released last week.
