GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger is continuing to speak out against members of his own party who are trying to overturn the results of a free and fair election. While the Illinois Congressman is getting heavy criticism from people in his own party, he isn’t backing down. Quite the opposite. He is now out with a video that lays out his position. He points out:
In this moment in time, we have a choice as leaders: 1) take the easy path for reelection and embrace conspiracy, or 2) lead, tell the truth, no matter the cost. I’m choosing courage over conspiracy. I hope I’m not alone, but I’m willing to be.
He goes on to say:
“Right now members of Congress are planning to try to overthrow this election by using the debunked conspiracy theories. Let’s be clear — they won’t succeed and they all know it. They will raise money on it however…. This will start a terrible cycle where every election must be objected to and eventually we will lose our ability to self-govern”
