Donald Trump likes to call COVID-19 the “China virus,” but The Lincoln Project is declaring “It’s Trump’s virus now.”
In the new ad titled “Memories,” the anti-Republican group shows milestones and moments that we are missing out on thanks to coronavirus. The narrator says:
“We have suffered needlessly because Trump is a fool, a liar and a failure. Most countries stopped it, Trump refused. It’s Trump’s virus now.”
In addition to the scenes in the video, missed weddings, birthdays and more, the group encouraged people on Twitter to share their lost memories.
My sister is getting married in 3 weeks, outside in a park, in Canada, where adults run the government so it's safe. I will miss it because I can't cross the border because the world but treats us like a plague village.

My twins will never know how exciting the first day of Kindergarten was supposed to be. They'll never have that memory. "Memories" — watch here. https://t.co/TsOURvLGW9

My 98-year-old dad had to witness his wife (my step-mom) being buried in April via Zoom. Our families couldn’t be there for him. pic.twitter.com/5Xp55te1y6
