Mike Bloomberg is talking about why he decided to jump into the presidential race. In his first interview since announcing his run, the billionaire addressed Donald Trump’s lack of “ethics,” “temperament” and “intellect.” He also talked to CBS’s Gayle King about his qualifications for the job saying:

“I have the same rights as anybody else. Does it take an ego? Yeah, I guess it takes an ego to think that you could do the job. I have 12 years of experience in City Hall… the team that I put together made an enormous difference in New York City.”

One of the controversies that he will face as he hits the campaign trail is the stop-and-frisk policy he put in place while he was mayor of New York City. He now admits it was a mistake.

“I’m sorry. I apologize. Let’s go fight the NRA and find other ways to stop the murders and incarceration. Those are things that I’m committed to do.”
