President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris met with Asian American leaders Friday afternoon in Georgia to discuss “the ongoing attacks against the community and how we move forward.”

This follows the murders of eight people at spas in the Atlanta area, six of whom were Asian women. Today police released the identities of all the victims.

The New York Times points out, “The gruesome, hate-filled shootings in Atlanta thrust Mr. Biden into the middle of a national struggle to confront the spasm of racially motivated violence from people angry about the coronavirus pandemic that has killed more than a half-million people and shut the country down.”
