Republican Infighting Continues To Overshadow Over Georgia Runoff

Donald Trump’s visit to Georgia tomorrow and all is not well with the GOP in the state. Attorneys Lin Wood and Sidney Powell, both of whom have been endorsed by the president, held an event Thursday where Wood encouraged Republicans NOT to vote in the Georgia runoff. It’s part of a movement by some Republicans (and Trump allies) to continue to fight Joe Biden’s win in the Peach State. But now the attorneys are getting trashed by some prominent members of the GOP party including Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX).

Today, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) entered the fray, writing: “Republicans are strong enough to do two things at once: continue fighting for election security and transparency, AND make sure we don’t hand the Senate to Chuck Schumer. Vote in Georgia.” And he had this to say about Wood:

Lin Wood is a Democrat that wants Republicans to self-destruct. Just because he wears a MAGA hat does not mean he shares a single value with you. He just wants your donations for his legal fees. He’s a grifter.

The question is what will Trump say about all of this when he visits Georgia tomorrow. He is scheduled to headline a rally for Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, but what the GOP is worried about is him talking about his crazy election fraud theories. And recent tweets like this show how he is still prioritizing his past loss over the current runoff campaigns. Expect a lot more of this during the rally tomorrow.
