The march began early in Los Angeles.  By 8am thousands had jammed downtown streets, much like 2017.  But so much has changed in a year.  Now the message is different.  Now it’s all about the November midterms, #MeToo, and a long list of other grievances with Donald Trump few could have imagined this time last year.  There is talk of a blue tsunami coming next fall.  And to see and feel the enormous crowds today in LA makes for a convincing argument that the tide may be changing.  And if you add up all the rallies in all the states, it is a movement that has not only survived but grown into a political force that could change the country in ten months.
