Why Trip To Walter Reed? Trump’s Medical Mystery

It wasn’t on his schedule and the explanation sounds implausible. On Saturday afternoon, Donald Trump left the White House for “partial physical” at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

The White House press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, said the president had a free weekend so why not get a partial physical?

“Anticipating a very busy 2020, the President is taking advantage of a free weekend here in Washington, D.C.,” Grisham said.

But those who closely follow Trump’s propensity for falsehoods weren’t buying it.

This is the problem with the legion of lies. If you decide not to play golf like you do every weekend and instead visit a hospital for a partial physical, well, color us suspicious.

Politico reports Grisham appeared Saturday evening on Fox News to quash rumors of the president possibly being ill.

Later on Twitter, Grisham said any speculation is “wholly irresponsible & dangerous for the country.”
