A giant “Black Lives Matter“ mural was painted on 5th Avenue on Thursday, prominently facing its intended target, Trump Tower.  The mayor of New York was on hand to help with the painting.  The New York Times calls it the “latest flare-up in a yearslong feud between” Donald Trump and Mayor Bill de Blasio. “Black lives matter in our city, and Black lives matter in the United States of America,” de Blasio said. “Let’s show Donald Trump what he does not understand. Let’s paint it right in front of his building for him.”

President Trump said last week that the mural was a “symbol of hate.”
