In a Washington landscape littered with lies from Donald Trump, this one truly stands out. Trump is in full election mode and any modicum of truth has long since vanished from his speeches and tweets but today was the Whale de Whopper. Trump said Republicans support people with pre-existing medical conditions.
All Republicans support people with pre-existing conditions, and if they don’t, they will after I speak to them. I am in total support. Also, Democrats will destroy your Medicare, and I will keep it healthy and well!

This comes at the same time the Trump administration is fighting AGAINST people with pre-existing conditions, in court!
In fact, the very first sentence of this DOJ letter says that the "President of the United States" personally approved asking a federal court to strike down the ACA's protections for preexisting conditions. Trump personally approved it! pic.twitter.com/MdlR5kT93v

The GOP knows it has a problem. Healthcare is a big issue in this election and it’s pretty tough sell for Republicans to pretend they’re for it when they’ve fought to kill it for years.
Do any Republican strategists or pundits want to attempt defending the position that the GOP has always supported protections for pre-existing conditions?
They’ve all been so quiet about this one.

From Vox:
“In a year when the winds are already at their backs, Democrats in tough races are leaning on health care to carry them to victory. They’re focusing specifically on preexisting conditions: Obamacare protected them, and the GOP wants to roll back those protections. Simple as that.”
And for Trump to try to suddenly claim her cares? Democrats say, “give us a break.”
Trump himself is involved in a lawsuit to kill pre existing condition protection. He is not only a liar, he is a chronic and dangerous liar who puts his own voters at risk https://t.co/JZ5lS6i7yi
