Donald Trump reads his press, and that has press has been especially brutal of late. Witness the reports of Trump “brooding” in the White House. So it was no surprise that he is suddenly hosting a right-leaning, friendly interviewer in the Oval Office. The Daily Caller, a site founded by Fox’s Tucker Carlson, spoke to Donald Trump today about the Florida election and it was a doozy. Here are a few of the statements and lies he said:
“If you buy a box of cereal — you have a voter ID.” (where does he buy cereal?)
“When people get in line that have absolutely no right to vote and they go around in circles. Sometimes they go to their car, put on a different hat, put on a different shirt, come in and vote again.” (there is no evidence of this)
On the 2016 election in Florida–“I won by a lot of votes. I call it four Yankee stadiums.” (He didn’t. In Florida he won by 112,000 votes, or about two Yankee Stadiums.)
The only quote of interest in this interview is that Trump thinks you need voter id to buy cereal. The rest is just rambling conspiracies about voter fraud.https://t.co/msq30ASH60

Our president has no idea how elections are administered. That’s the big take away from the Daily Caller article, which did essentially nothing but transcribe a fact-free set of claims and publish them.

With all the major papers reporting that Trump is "brooding," angry, isolated, irritable… Trump counters by giving an interview to the @DailyCaller? "He was energized…" https://t.co/UkaqVO9Xj8
