Donald Trump’s Twitter feed was in overdrive the past couple of days. He wasn’t tweeting about true international issues such as the massacre in New Zealand or the flooding in the Midwest. Instead, he was stewing over a rerun of Saturday Night Live that made fun of him. He also took time to criticize the late Senator John McCain. CNN’s Brian Stelter discussed this Dan Rather on CNN’s Reliable Sources.

“I sense the public has a sense that they’re facing a manure spreader in a windstorm. It just keeps coming and coming and coming at you. It’s ridiculous but it’s unrelenting. and he understands the value of that.”

Dan added:

“I do think people increasingly recognize this is very dangerous to have a president talking in these terms. Words matter. What the president says matter. And it affects people within the social media internet age. It affects people not just in this country, but all over the world. It’s something we need to think seriously about.”
