Let’s not jump to conclusions but what happened late today in Washington just doesn’t feel right. Something is up. Here’s the sequence of events:

The Attorney General announces a press conference for Thursday morning at 9:30. Then comes word that Robert Mueller, the special counsel in charge of the investigation, won’t be there. But Donald Trump appointee William Barr will be, along with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. But wait, it gets weirder. The redacted report won’t be made available until after the press conference. Huh?

Democrats in Congress are not happy and have called on the Justice Department to cancel tomorrow’s press conference.

Journalists see this for what it is, spin.
