There is no disputing that Donald Trump is winning when it comes to fundraising. His re-election campaign, along with the RNC is reporting a second-quarter haul totaling $105 million. The New York Times writes:

The president’s campaign manager, Brad Parscale, called it a “massive fund-raising success” based on enthusiasm for Mr. Trump’s record, which he said no Democratic candidate could match.

However, it’s hard to truly say the Democrats can’t match that total. We know Pete Buttigieg’s campaign brought in almost $25 million in the second quarter. The other Democrats haven’t released their totals yet, but we suspect when you add them all together (20+ candidates) that the cumulative total may top $105 million. And that isn’t taking into account what the DNC is bringing in.

Also, the Times adds that Trump’s total dwarfs “what President Barack Obama raised in the equivalent period during his re-election campaign.” To compare the two may not be fair, as polls indicate Trump may be on more rocky ground than Obama was at this time in his re-election campaign.
