General Michael Hayden is being treated after suffering a stroke. The center that bears his name released a statement saying:

The Michael V. Hayden Center for Intelligence, Policy, and International Security on behalf of Jeanine C. Hayden and the Hayden family regrets to inform that General Michael V. Hayden (USAF-Retired) was hospitalized earlier this week after suffering a stroke while at his home.  He is receiving expert medical care for which the family is grateful.  As General Hayden begins the healing process, the family requests that their privacy be respected.  The General and his family greatly appreciate the warm wishes and prayers of his friends, colleagues, and supporters.

Hayden, the former head of the CIA, under George W. Bush and Barack Obama, has been a prominent critic of Donald Trump recently. He regularly appears as a national security analyst on CNN and appeared earlier this week.

Dan Rather hosted Hayden on his Sirius XM show earlier this year. Today Dan is sending his thoughts to a man he calls “a real patriot.”
