The Wisconsin pharmacist who admits he deliberately let enough Covid-19 vaccine for nearly 600 shots spoil because he thought it would implant microchips in recipients’ bodies also had other outlandish notions, reports the Washington Post.

Federal authorities say the FBI found evidence that the pharmacist, Steven Brandenburg, also thinks the Earth is flat and the sky is not real, the Post says.

Unsealed court records, first reported on Sunday by the Daily Beast, says that among other things, Brandenburg, 46, was convinced that the sky “is a shield put up by the government to prevent individuals from seeing God; and Judgment Day is coming.”

Brandenburg apparently was aware he might be arrested for his actions.

One of his co-workers at a health clinic in Grafton WI reportedly discovered 57 vials of Moderna vaccine that had been left out of the refrigerator on Christmas Eve and again on Christmas Day, rendering them useless. Each vial contained enough vaccine for 10 injections.

The co-worker, Sarah Sticker, reportedly told investigators that Brandenburg carried a .45 caliber handgun at work, saying he needed it “in case the military came to take him away.” Police seized several firearms from Brandenburg’s home on New Year’s Eve.

Brandenburg has agreed to plead guilty to two counts of “attempting to tamper with consumer products with reckless disregard, and faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each charge,” the Daily Beast says.

Brandenburg is due back in court next week.
