It’s one scene from one street in Syria. But it’s no doubt a feeling shared by many Kurds as American troops withdraw from Syria and relocate in neighboring Iraq. Business Insider reports:

The video, posted on YouTube by Hawar News, a Kurdish agency linked to the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, appears to show US troops driving through the streets of Qamishli, a town on the Syria-Turkey border. As they move through the town, local people pelt their vehicle with rocks and fruit.

The New York Times writes:

Residents threw rocks and potatoes at a United States military convoy driving through Qamishli, a major city in Kurdish-held territory. In video posted online by a local Kurdish news outlet, ANHA Hawar, men hurling potatoes at an armored vehicle shouted “No America” and “America liar,” in English.
