Letitia James, the New York Attorney General Is investigating possible financial fraud within the Trump organization and reportedly has subpoenaed testimony from two of Donald Trump’s grown children, Don, Jr. and Ivanka Trump. The Washington Post writes:

The subpoenas were disclosed Monday in an unsealed court filing that alsodetailed a schedule for challenges to the requests that the pair sit for depositions and provide records. Lawyers for Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. agreed to file challenges by Dec. 27, according to the timeline.

The unsealed documents do not indicate whether those challenges were submitted or what they contained. But the filing suggests that further litigation over whether the subpoenas will be enforced was anticipated.

ABC News reports Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka will not comply with the subpoenas.

Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump will file motions to quash the subpoenas as soon as Monday, the filing indicated. The former president and his company have denied wrongdoing and have attacked the investigation as political. The ongoing criminal investigation has so far resulted in indictments against the Trump Organization and its longtime chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg on tax charges. Prosecutors said the company had been paying Weisselberg’s rent, living expenses, private school tuition and car lease without proper reporting on tax returns. Both pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutors have been investigating whether Trump’s company committed a crime in how it values its holdings.
