Donald Trump’s doctors said the president could be discharged from the hospital as soon as Monday. The doctors also admitted that experienced concerning drops in his oxygen levels on Friday and again yesterday.

Doctors admit they didn’t tell of Trump’s need for oxygen yesterday because, as Sean Conley, the White House physician said, “I didn’t want to give any information that might steer the illness in another direction.”

The rosy scenario painted yesterday and the lack of information on Friday is not a surprise coming from an administration with zero credibility. The White House correspondent for the New York Times did not mince words.

Doctors say the president is being given the steroid dexamethasone. CBS News wrote this of the drug back in June:

The steroid dexamethasone has been found to reduce the risk of death in seriously ill coronavirus patients by about a third, according to clinical trial results hailed on Tuesday as a “major breakthrough.” The drug did not appear to help less severely ill patients.

Researchers led by a team from the University of Oxford administered the inexpensive, widely available drug to more than 2,000 severely ill COVID-19 patients. Among those who could only breathe with the help of a ventilator, dexamethasone reduced deaths by 35%. It reduced deaths by about 20% among patients who were receiving oxygen only, according to preliminary results.

But the bottom line remains. There is much the public doesn’t know about Donald Trump’s condition.
