GOP Senator Tim Scott, the only Black Republican in the Senate, had this reaction after Donald Trump said the white supremacist group Proud Boys should “stand back and stand by.”

“I think he misspoke. I think he should correct it. If he doesn’t correct it, I guess he didn’t misspeak.” Sen. Tim Scott (R-N.C.)

Donald Trump has tweeted several times after the debate. He’s issued no correction or clarification.
