Sarah Huckabee Sanders Announces Run For Arkansas Governor

Sarah Huckabee Sanders wants to be Governor of Arkansas, a position her father formerly held. The current governor, Asa Hutchinson, also a Republican, is unable to run again in 2022 because of term limits.

In a video announcing her candidacy, she continued to align herself with former president Donald Trump and talks about being the first White House press secretary to require Secret Service protection due to threats. But perhaps most astoundingly, she claims she took on the media and “won.”

Donald Trump Jr. was among those who congratulated Sanders, tweeting, “Let me know how I can help @SarahHuckabee! You’re going to win and you will be great!”

But there are a lot of people questioning her run and the message she is sending out in her video.

Whatever your ideology, it’s preposterous to have watched Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ performance in public life and conclude, “This is a person qualified to be Governor.”
