The Supreme Court has rejected Texas’ attempt to overturn the election.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed the lawsuit Tuesday asking the high court for an emergency order to block electors in Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, all states that Joe Biden won. The lawsuit was blasted by several officials and lawmakers with Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro calling it “seditious abuse of the judicial process.”

The New York Times writes:

The lawsuit, filed by the Republican attorney general of Texas and backed by his G.O.P. colleagues in 17 other states and 106 Republican members of Congress, represents the most coordinated, politicized attempt to overturn the will of the voters in recent American history.

A short time before the Supreme Court ruling retiring Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) came out against the lawsuit telling NBC’s Chuck Todd:

“I mean, can you imagine another state telling Tennessee how to count its votes to decide who the electors are?”
