For the past year, there has been speculation Tom Brady could somehow wind up playing for a team other than the New England Patriots when he hit free agency. Today, Brady himself confirmed he was indeed leaving the only franchise he’s ever played for:

“I don’t know what my football future holds, but it is time for me to open a new stage for my life and career”

Speculation is Brady could be headed to the Los Angeles Chargers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady has played in nine Super Bowls, six of which he won. That’s the most of any player in NFL history.
