In trying to defend (we think) his abandonment of the Kurds in northern Syria, Donald Trump said the middle eastern ethnic group didn’t help the United States in World War II.

Trump is borrowing his material. The quote appears to come from a column by Kurt Schlichter, a frequent contributor on Fox.
