Doctors for Donald Trump say the president is “fever free” and doing well after being admitted to Walter Reed Army Medical Center Friday evening.

But Dr. Sean Cooley, the White House physician, said the president was diagnosed “72 hours ago.” That would be on Wednesday morning. Trump didn’t reveal the diagnosis until early Friday morning.

And there are questions about whether the president received supplemental oxygen during his treatment.

During the doctor’s briefing, the doctors would not say if Trump ever received oxygen, only that he was currently not receiving it.

On Friday, CNN reported there was concern over Trump deteriorating condition:

A Trump adviser said there is reason for concern about the President’s health. “This is serious,” the adviser said. The adviser went on to describe Trump as very tired, very fatigued and having some trouble breathing.A source familiar with the situation said White House officials have serious concerns about Trump’s health and a top administration official told CNN that Trump is “OK for now, but our fear is that things can change quick.”

The Washington Post reports the decision to move the president to Walter Reed was partly made due to politics and optics:

As Trump’s condition deteriorated during the day Friday, the president and his team ultimately made the decision to send him to Walter Reed preemptively — and, from a public relations perspective, when he was still able to walk to Marine One on his own, according to one outside adviser in frequent contact with White House officials. They feared the possibility of a further decline, and what that might mean, both for the president’s health and his political optics.

The White House outbreak thrust Washington into a state of heightened alarm Friday, with uncertainty one month before the election about the health of the president, whose age of 74, as well as additional co-morbidities — obesity, high cholesterol and slightly elevated blood pressure  increase his risks of a negative outcome.
