Donald Trump is taking a page right from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s book, launching a transphobic attack during his speech at CPAC Sunday.

The former president specifically targeted transgender athletes and The Equality Act (watch above). He said:
“Joe Biden and the Democrats are even pushing policies that would destroy women sports… Young girls and women are incensed that they are now being forced to compete against those who are biological males. That is not good for women.”
He added, “If this does not change, women’s sports as we know it will die.”
Trump going all in on the anti-transgender sports talking points, falsely claiming trans women are breaking athletic records. I know of no evidence to support this transphobic nonsense.

This comes just days after the House of Representatives passed The Equality Act. It’s legislation that would ban discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. The bill now heads to the Senate.
