Hillary Clinton joined CBS’s Stephen Colbert to talk about the paperback release on her book “What Happened” and to touch on several topics facing the country right now.

ON THE NY TIMES OP-ED

Clinton talked about the anonymous op-ed written by a member of Donald Trump’s staff and specifically how it referenced that the people around Trump are stopping him from doing harm to the country. Clinton said:

“I think it may well be unprecedented and the person or people who wrote that article were trying to tell the rest of us that they are stopping bad things from happening and when you think of all of the bad things that have happened that is pretty sobering that they are actually there, you know, with all fingers in the dike trying to prevent the bad stuff from happening.”

ON WHETHER A PRESIDENT CAN BE INDICTED OR SUBPOENAED

ON THE ACCUSATION AGAINST BRETT KAVANAUGH

“I am hoping that at some point there will be an agreement to have an investigation. It would be very easy for the FBI to go back and finish the background investigation, to investigate these charges and, you know, maybe find out there is nothing to them, maybe find out there is something to them, but at least have that investigation completed and I think that is what is a fair request for due process. “
