Longtime Jeopardy host Alex Trebek posted a video on YouTube today revealing he is in a fight for his life:

I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Now normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I’m going to fight this, and I’m going to keep working,

The 78-year-old did a video revealing his diagnosis from the Jeopardy set. And while this may have been the hardest video he’s ever had to make, he managed to keep his spirits up saying:

I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease. Truth told I have to because under the terms of my contract I have to host Jeopardy for three more years. So help me, keep the faith and we’ll win, we’ll get it done.

This isn’t Trebek’s first health scare, GMA writes:

Trebek took a leave of absence from the show last year after he underwent brain surgery for a subdural hematoma, which is blood clots on the brain.
