Ohio Governor John Kasich joined CNN’s Jake Tapper Sunday to talk about, among other things, whether he is planning to run for President again and if he still identifies with the Republican Party. It’s clear that this topic is a raw one for him:

“I didn’t leave the Republican party, the Republican party left me. In my state, we have balanced budgets, surplus, we’re up half a million jobs and republicans say Kasich is not conservative. Does that mean I have to be anti-trade, anti-debt? Party come home, we’re pro trade, we’re pro growth, we worry about that, we should worry about those at the top and the bottom, not just those at the top, but everybody. I’m going to do that, in one way or another.”
