The President may have canceled his trip to the World Economic Forum (because of the government shutdown), but his presence is still being felt. CNBC interviewed Former Secretary of State John Kerry in Davos about the impact climate change is having on the planet and Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris accord.  Here’s part of the conversation:

“The passive indifference that most countries are accepting is basically a mutual suicide pact because we aren’t doing what’s necessary to save the planet.

“I wish there was a lawsuit capacity that could hold people liable for such an insane decision as he has made, which is going to cost lives. People will die because of the president’s decision.”
