The mother of the accused “zip tie” suspect is now under arrest. The FBI arrested Lisa Marie Eisenhart in Nashville on Saturday. Her son, Eric Munchel, was arrested earlier.  He was seen on videos inside the Senate chamber holding plastic handcuffs during the Capitol siege on January 6.

The NBC affiliate in Atlanta (watch above) writes that the 56-year-old and her son face charges of conspiracy, civil disorders, restricted building or grounds, and violent entry or disorderly conduct. Munchel was arrested earlier in the week.

New documents suggest that there is probable cause to believe both Munchel and Eisenhart “knowingly and willfully conspiring with persons known and unknown” to violate the law.

The documents allege Eisenhart traveled to Washington with her son and that investigators have photos and video showing both at a hotel – and later at the Capitol as it was stormed. It also alleges that the two were standing near as a mob attacked officers guarding the Senate chambers.

The documents also allege the mother and son had flex cuffs in their hands and later entered the Senate chambers.

According to the Tennessean, “There is video that authorities believe shows Eisenhart and Munchel in the U.S. Capitol together, which includes being in the vicinity of a mob that attacked two police officers, according to an arrest warrant.”
